Frequently Asked Questions

What are Paid Surveys?

There are hundreds of companies that want your opinion and they are willing to compensate you for it. To participate with true surveys, surveys, offers, or paid to read emails, you'll need to sign up with a site offering these services. These programs never charge a membership fee or other charge to participate.

'True' Paid Surveys

True Paid Surveys are provided by legitimate research companies who gather information for product improvement, marketing research and other uses. Notification of availabile survey options are usually by email invite. The invitations are based on the demographic information you submit when you sign up. They usually pay or reward well, although some are simply entries into drawings for cash or prizes.

Paid Surveys

Paid surveys are usually questionnaires regarding interests in different subjects or products to develop a 'targeted leads' list for interested advertisers. These advertised 'Paid Surveys' are generally advertisement matching questionnaires; participants select offers of interest or general categories of interest. Some are by email invite and some require you to login to the survey site to see if there are any survey opportunities available.

Paid Offers

Paid offers are paid trials of products or services. Companies pay you to try their product or service for a certain perdiod of time; however most paid offers require you to submit credit card information to register for the offer. The credit card information is used to bill you for a continuation of services if you do not call to cancel. These programs do not automatically terminate after the trial period ends. These can be expensive for the unorganized individual who forgets to cancel services. In this case it is recommended that you only accept trials or paid offers for products or services that you're intersted in. Paid offers are not to be confused with product testing, which some true survey companies may request of you. It is simply an incentive to sign up or complete an offer. Paid offers are extremely profitable, but most offers require a credit card. Pre-paid credit cards are a great option for this.

How much can one profit from paid surveys?

The amount you can expect to earn by completing paid surveys and offers varies by the individual. Survey sites have a variety of ways to compensate you for your time. Some enter you in sweepstakes or drawings; some pay you cash; and some give you reward points that can be redeemed for cash or prizes. The overall amount that you earn depends on how much time you can commit to completing the surveys, how many you complete and how well your time is managed.
